Michael Held is a member of the executive committee at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. He is general counsel and executive vice president of the Legal Group at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.  In addition, he serves as deputy general counsel of the Federal Open Market Committee. Mr. Held joined the New York Fed in 1998 as a staff attorney. Prior to joining the New York Fed, Held was an associate at McDermott, Will & Emery, LLP in the litigation department and prior to that, he was an associate at Kaye Scholer LLP.  Held holds a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University in Human Service Studies and a juris doctor degree from New York University School of Law.
