Benjamin Michael McAdams (D-UT) is a committee member of the 116th Congress U.S. House Committee on Financial Services. He is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative from Utah’s 4th congressional district since 2019. He is the only Democratic member of Utah’s congressional delegation, and a member of the Blue Dog Coalition. From 2013 to 2019 he served as mayor of Salt Lake County, and from 2009 to 2012, he was the Utah state senator from the 2nd district, which includes Salt Lake City, South Salt Lake, and a portion of West Valley. McAdams graduated from the University of Utah (BA), and Columbia University (JD). After graduating from law school, McAdams briefly worked in New York City as an associate at the law firm Davis Polk & Wardwell. McAdams and his family then returned to Utah, where he joined the law firm Dorsey & Whitney in Salt Lake City, working in securities law. McAdams then became Senior Advisor to Salt Lake City Mayor Ralph Becker.

Stephen Francis Lynch (D-MA) is a committee member of the 116th Congress U.S. House Committee on Financial Services. He is an American politician who has served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Massachusetts since 2001. He is a Democrat representing Massachusetts’s 8th congressional district, which includes the southern fourth of Boston and many of its southern suburbs. Lynch was previously an ironworker and lawyer, and served in both chambers of the Massachusetts General Court. He received his J.D. from Boston College Law School in 1991. For several years he worked as a lawyer, primarily representing housing project residents and labor unions. Lynch was elected to the Massachusetts House of Representatives, unseating an incumbent Democratic lawmaker, in 1994.

Jesús G. “Chuy” García (D-Ill) is a committee member of the 116th Congress U.S. House Committee on Financial Services. He is a Mexican-born American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Illinois’s 4th district since 2019. Jim A. Himes (D-CT) is a committee member of the 116th Congress U.S. House Committee on Financial Services. He is an American businessman and U.S. Representative for Connecticut’s 4th congressional district, serving since 2009. He is a member of the Democratic Party and former Chair of the New Democrat Coalition. In 1995, Himes began working at Goldman Sachs as a banker in Latin America and New York. He was eventually promoted to vice president. In 2007, he was named vice president of the non-profit Enterprise Foundation (currently Enterprise Community Partners), and later began running its metropolitan New York operations. Himes was appointed a Commissioner of the Greenwich Housing Authority in 2002, and served for two years as chairman of the board. He has also served as a board member of Aspira of Connecticut in Bridgeport, a board member of the Fairfield County Community Foundation, and as an advisory board member of Family Assets, LLP of Bridgeport. Emanuel Cleaver II (D-MO) is a committee member of the 116th Congress U.S. House Committee on Financial Services. He is a United Methodist pastor and an American politician who is a member of the U.S. House of Representatives. Cleaver represents Missouri’s 5th congressional district, elected in 2005. The district includes the southern three-fourths of Kansas City. Cleaver is a member of the Democratic Party, and in January 2010, he became chair of the Congressional Black Caucus, a position he held until 2019. Green has served in Congress as the Representative for Texas’s 9th congressional district since 2005. Green is a member of the Democratic Party. He attended Florida A&M University and Tuskegee University. He received a Juris Doctor degree, in 1974 from Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University. After law school, Green co-founded the law firm of Green, Wilson, Dewberry, and Fitch.  In 1978, Green was elected justice of the peace in Harris County, Texas. He held this position for 26 years before retiring in 2004.

Velázquez (D-NY) is a committee member of the 116th Congress U.S. House Committee on Financial Services.  She is a Puerto Rican-American politician serving in the United States House of Representatives since 1993. Velázquez, a Democrat from New York was the chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus until January 3, 2011. Her district, located in New York City, was numbered the 12th district from 1993 to 2013 and has been numbered the 7th district since 2013. In 1976, Velázquez received an M.A. in political science from New York University. Maxine Moore Waters (D-CA)  is currently the chairwoman of the 116th Congress U.S. House Committee on Financial Services.  She is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for California’s 43rd congressional district since 1991. The district, numbered as the 29th district from 1991–1993 and as the 35th district from 1993 to 2013.  Waters is a member of the Democratic Party and is currently in her 15th term in the House. Before becoming a U.S. Representative, Waters served in the California State Assembly, to which she was first elected in 1976.
