Katherine Moore Porter (D-CA) is a committee member of the 116th Congress U.S. House Committee on Financial Services. She is an American law professor, attorney, and politician serving as the U.S. Representative for California’s 45th congressional district since 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, she is the first Democrat to be elected to represent the district. Porter attended Harvard University and Yale University; she most recently taught at the University of California, Irvine School of Law.
