LIVE: Nexia BT Associates Back In Court In Corruption And Money Laundering Case

Former Nexia BT partners Brian Tonna, Manuel Castagna, Karl Cini and manager Katrin Bondin Carter are back in court this afternoon as the compilation of evidence in the state’s case against them continues. They have been charged, together with seven others including former OPM chief of staff Keith Schembri, with a host of criminal charges stemming from two magisterial inquiries.

LIVE: Keith Schembri Receiving Treatment In Hospital As Corruption And Money Laundering Case Against Him Resumes

Keith Schembri, the former chief of staff of the Office of the Prime Minister charged with corruption and money laundering, is receiving treatment in hospital and will not be present for today’s sitting of the compilation of evidence against him.

News of his hospitalisation came this morning, through his lawyer Edward Gatt. It is unclear what the reasons behind Schembri’s hospitalisation are.

Schembri, along with his father Alfio, the CEO of Kasco Group Malcolm Scerri, and the group’s financial controller Robert Zammit, along with a number of others with various crimes, ranging from the falsification of documents to corruption and money laundering. Ex-top aide to former Maltese PM charged with corruption

ROME (AP) — A former top government aide in Malta who was investigated by a journalist later killed by a car bomb has been arraigned in a Maltese court on charges of money-laundering, fraud and corruption.
